LÁNCHÍD 19 DESIGN HOTEL Lánchíd 19 Design Hotel is located in a historic setting on one of Budapest’s most beautiful Danube riverfronts. The building’s volume and structural layout blend seamlessly with the rhythm of the neighboring heritage monuments. Its facade is defined by strong horizontal and vertical lines, enhanced by a dynamic, colorful glass louvers system. The hotel and restaurant also serve as a showcase for contemporary Hungarian design, with most furniture and accessories available for purchase. The logo design is inspired by the interplay of light where the river meets the waterfront architecture. Unlike still water, the flowing river refracts the silhouette of the buildings. This observation is reflected in the typography: a thin line refracts the lower part of the letters, evoking the vibration of the water and the bridge piers meeting the Danube. This visual solution also inspired the hotel’s custom numbering and signage system. Other key branding elements include strong horizontal lines reflecting the Danube panorama, stylized graphics of the facade’s glass louvers, and a collection of unique, purchasable design souvenirs.
