The corporate logo of the diocese is made out of the letters of the city of VÁC forming the orb (part of the Hungarian regalia). The idea of the orb is a symbol of how the diocese integrates a larger geographic region into a unified whole. The accent on the letter ‘A’ takes the shape of the cross signifying the Christian identity somewhat summoning up the characteristic attribute of the orb. The logo takes the shape of a seal. Despite of its 2D elements the overall appearance is more like 3D. To achieve simplicity and individuality were the main objectives of the design of the corporate logo. The adaptability in black or white colour mean to convey the plain, unambiguous message. The philosophy of “the less is more” and a clear but up-to-date typography are featuring the creative design concept of the Bible and that of the lettering of lich-house. The individual letters are pushing the limits of legibility. They are almost a series of mere abstract elements that somewhat remind us of the ancient characters of the Hungarian runic writing. It is a symbolic reference to a verse from the Bible: “For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. (1 Corinthians 13:9-11)
